Paul brings a wealth of international wine knowledge to his role at Wayfinder, and the entire team benefit from educational tastings and tours of the world through wine. Starting out in wholesale, he has pretty much had roles in every facet of the industry, including consulting, sales & marketing, and senior management roles with numerous wine brands.
Paul is out and about during the year giving presentations and masterclasses; he's an easy choice having passed the UKMaster of Wine tasting exam back in 2003.... an extremely tough test, even for the most dedicated wine aficionados.
WA born and bred, Andrew hightailed it to South Australia in his younger years to complete an Oenology Degree andcement his passion for winemaking. This launched him on a global adventure,working for brands in New Zealand, Germany and the United States. His biggest gig during this time was the Chief role at Corliss Estate, a top-tier, boutique winery in Washington State. The call home occurred in 2018 and he started at Wayfinder in 2021. Andrew loves being back in the inspiring surrounds of Margaret River, enjoying the regional lifestyle with his wife and two youngd aughters.

With two decades of experience across Tasmania’s top wineries, Ockie has quietly built a reputation for detail-led winemaking. Having held senior positions at Bay of Fires and, most recently, as Chief Winemaker at Josef Chromy, he brings an intimate understanding of cool-climate Tasmanian wine and specifically the Tamar Valley. Having worked with the Small Wonder team during earlier custom crush vintages, Ockie now steers the winemaking with a steady hand and a light touch. Outside the winery, he balances vineyard life with golf, fishing, and time with family, always with a laugh at the ready and an easy, down-to-earth charm.

Born in Queensland, Australia, Damian’s sales career commenced with a 10-year tenure at Coca Cola as a Sales Rep, finishing this experience managing the entire Queensland Liquor Channel before moving into wine with The Hardy Wine Company and Australian Liquor Marketers. In 2015, his passion for the industry led him to McLaren Vale, where he held senior sales roles at Shottesbrooke Wines, Leconfield, WirraWirra, and Penny’s Hill, specialising in exports and brand growth.
In the role of sales director of Overstory, Damian has returned to his home turf, Brisbane, with his partner and three sons. Damian is also a qualified firefighter and avid adventurer, often found 4-wheel driving or caravanning along Australia’s coastline — or rescuing the occasional koala in need.
We are a diverse and collaborative team, united by a shared respect for the land and a desire to build something of lasting value. From farming and winemaking to storytelling and service, every part of Overstory is shaped by thoughtful people doing meaningful work.
Our work extends beyond the vineyard through programs designed to share, support, and regenerate our community. We volunteer, teach, collaborate and show up locally wherever we are. Regeneration starts close to home.
Regional biodiversity projects: We collaborate with researchers and share data through the EcoVineyards program, while restoring habitat through native planting and organic land management.
Education & mentoring: Our market garden and vineyards offer hands-on learning for students, interns, and young growers — fostering the next generation of mindful makers.
Wine events with purpose: From seasonal dinners to community tastings, our events are designed to bring people together and celebrate what thoughtful farming can create.
